Carl Cletus Thurlo, 90, of Kingston, Oklahoma passed away on Sunday, November 26, 2023, at his home. He was born August 26, 1933 in Duncan, Oklahoma to the late Earl P. Haliburton and Edith Cole Eaton. Carl was raised in Duncan and attended Kingston schools. He joined the United States Navy at the age of 17 serving during the Korean War on the USS Newport News Ship. After serving in the Navy Carl moved to Electra, Texas and worked in the oil fields before moving to Kingston in the late 50's. He married Lieselotte (Lisa) Koop in April 1973, and she preceded him in death on April 9, 2015. Carl owned and operated several businesses, Texoma Stone, Thurlo Asphalt and Paving. He and his son invented a stone cutting machine and set up small rural post offices. Carl was a member of the Lighthouse Pentecostal Church in Colbert, Oklahoma and he enjoyed working and drinking coffee with his friends.

Carl was preceded in death by his parents; wife and stepson; Steve Seitz
