Carl "Dean" Pearman was born on January 30, 1938, in Fish Creek, TX to Gordon and Willie (Smith) Pearman. He passed away peacefully on Friday, September 20, 2024, in the comfort of his home at the age of 86.

Dean lived the majority of his life in Thackerville, where he graduated from Thackerville High School in 1958. After high school, he married the love of his life, the former Claudia Jean Cain on June 5, 1959, in Thackerville. He and Claudia briefly moved to Ft Worth, TX after getting married, where he worked for Bell Helicopter for a few years before returning to Thackerville to start a family. She preceded him in death on April 15, 2020.

Dean was a retired insurance agent and founding member of Pearman Insurance, a company his family still owns and operates today. He LOVED playing dominoes and was extremely competitive, especially in matches between Claudia and himself. He could often be found messing around on the farm or moving the sprinklers in his beautiful yard. But Dean found the most joy in spending time with his great grandchildren. He and his great granddaughter, Ava, frequented the nail salon where he made regular appointments for them to enjoy every other week. A tradition he kept going with her after Claudia's passing. He also continued to pick up his great grandchildren from school everyday, where they made countless memories at his house and earned money by reading him scriptures when his eyesight became a problem.

Dean and Claudia loved to spread the gospel of Jesus, and both had a passion to win people to Christ. He was an active and faithful member of the Thackerville Community Church, where he served as a board member until his passing. He cherished his time with his family and always reminded them, "I'm the most blessed man in the world."

Those left to carry on Dean's legacy are his daughters, Melodie Schaffer and husband Dean of Thackerville, and Sharon Hard-Ross of Jimtown, OK; grandchildren, Robert Schaffer and wife Ember, Alysa Schaffer Curbow and husband Ryan, and Steven Hard and wife Laura, all of Thackerville, and Meghan Pooler and husband Josh of Jimtown; great-grandchildren, Ava and Conner Curbow, Zane and Roman Schaffer, Lucas, Ella and Thea Rose Hard, and Skylar, Cooper and Olivia Pooler; brother, Don Pearman and wife Pam of Thackerville; brothers-in-law, Richard Cain of Burneyville, OK, Harrell Cain and wife Peggy of Forestburg, TX, and Darrell "Dugan" Cain and wife Janie of Marietta; sisters-in- law, Geraldine "Gerri" Shurbet and husband Delmar and Terri Bone, all of Marietta; several nieces, nephews and extended family.

In addition to his parents and wife, Dean was also preceded in death by his son, Bobby Dean Pearman; brother, Dale Pearman; and sisters, June Enderby and Eva Ruth Pearman.

A celebration of Dean's life will be held at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at the Thackerville Community Church with Robert Schaffer officiating.
