Obituary

Brandon Pate Jacks passed away on Monday, December 30, 2024, in Madill, Oklahoma.

Brandon was born July 28, 1973, in Ardmore, Oklahoma to Johnnie Ruth (McClure) and Leston Pate Jacks, who both preceded him in death. Brandon was a Madill high school graduate class of 1991. After high school he went on to OU, graduated from Murray State College in 1994 and then on to graduate from Southeastern Oklahoma State University in 1996 with a bachelor's degree in communication.

Brandon was nothing short of amazing. Born with cerebral palsy, that never slowed him down. He liked to be able to accomplish things on his own and was one to never ask for help, but so many times he enjoyed the help. To say he was stubborn would be saying it mildly.

Brandon had a love and passion for a lot of things but one being all things media. He worked many years at KMAD in Madill and KYNZ. He really loved to show his passion for music and sports through his writing and also his broadcasting. He has worked for Madill Record and the past 23 years at Madill Schools as the Journalism and Computer teacher, He was also the sports communication director.

Another love he had was for Oklahoma University. He was an undeniable OU fan through and through, but bigger than that was his love for the Madill Wildcats. He was Mr. Wildcat and could be seen and heard on campus and at every sport event. If he couldn't attend in person he was watching or getting play by plays from someone. He truly believed, it was a Great Day to be a Wildcat!

Beyond sports was his love for family. He could be heard doting on his family all the time. It could be his sisters or brother but especially his niece and nephews and great nieces and nephews. He lit up when they were talked about or was one to quickly bring up their accomplishments.

Lastly and most importantly was his love and passion for Christ. He had an unwavering faith no matter what life threw at him. He knew God had a plan for him and those around him and he lavished in God, completely immersing himself in all God did and could do. Brandon always said he was blessed, and he really was.

Brandon leaves behind sister Wynne Stowers and husband Rick, brother Stewart Jacks and wife Lynnis, sister Amy Bond; and sister Beth Berry and husband Greg; nephew Jeffery Stowers and wife Amanda and their children Hudson and Rhett; niece Erin Bradley and husband Eric and their kids Emeri and Creed; nephew Spencer Bond and wife Emily; nephew Sheldon Jacks and wife Mallorie and their children Marlowe and Maeve; nephew Ethan Jacks and wife Kait; nephew Paten Bond; nephew Samuel Bond and wife Karlee and their children Monroe and Skarlett; nephew Colin Berry; and many extended family and a host of friends.
