Obituary

Brandolyn Cheyenne (Dickey) Henderson, was born on August 10, 1978 in Enid, OK to Cindy and Michael Dickey. She passed away on April 22, 2014. Brandolyn graduated high school in 1997, and attended Oklahoma State University where she received undergraduate degrees in Political Science and Secondary Education. She attended law school at the University of Oklahoma, where she met her husband, Scott Henderson. Scott and Brandolyn were married on July 30, 2005. Shortly after, they moved to Las Vegas, NV, where they lived for over 8 years she was primarily a deputy district attorney in Clark County, prosecuting child welfare and neglect cases. Brandolyn's love for children made her a natural for this career. Brandolyn was a woodworking enthusiast, an avid reader, and enjoyed traveling. She loved to cook for her family and friends. In addition, Brandolyn's friends knew her as a corrector of grammar, but always in the most polite way possible. While at Oklahoma State, Brandolyn joined the Alpha Chi Omega fraternity. She remained active from the day she signed for the rest of her life. She felt Alpha Chi made her the woman she was. She took countless trips, and spent hours working on problems within her own chapter as well as other chapters. She eagerly looked forward to the new edition of The Lyre in the mail. Brandolyn was many things: a wife, a daughter, an attorney, and a lifelong sorority girl. But, most of all, she was a mother. Brandolyn and Scott had their son, Austin, on August 18, 2010. Brandolyn took to motherhood immediately; it was the role for which she was born. Brandolyn is survived by her husband, Scott Henderson, her son, Austin Henderson, her parents, Mike and Cindy Dickey, her brother, Ivan Dickey and wife, Britney Dickey, her niece, Emma Dickey, her maternal grandmother, Jean Gray, Father and Mother in-law; Jerrel and Dianne Henderson, her brother-in-law, Stephen Henderson and wife, Sierra, her sister-in-law Sarah Watts and husband, MB, her niece, Macy Watts, and her nephew, Bryant Watts. And sister-in-law, Bengi Beebe, her "bestie", Tina Moore Dowers, and her rescue dog, Dexter. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents Joan and Ivan Dickey and her maternal grandfather, Bill Gray.
