June Samuel, affectionately known as Mama June of Willis, OK was born on June 19, 1927 in Linn, OK to the late Earl and Velma Holden. She married the late RJ Samuel on July 19, 1945. They lived and farmed in the Willis community for 46 years. In 2002, she moved to Uvalde, TX next to her daughter, Ann Sanford. She went to be with the Lord on September 14, 2017. Through the years she enjoyed playing 42, church activities, singing, playing softball, cooking, tending and enjoying her flowers, traveling, and spending time with her family.

June Samuel is survived by two brothers: Jerry Holden of Orange, CA, and Jimmy Raney of Orange, CA, and her children: Sue Brumley and husband Quentis of Willis, OK; Ann Sanford and husband Ted of Uvalde, TX; Teressa Cornell and husband Greg of Pleasant Grove, CA; Pat Samuel of Pleasant Grove, CA, and Melissa Johnson & husband Todd of Minot, ME; and her grandchildren: Lance Weeks, Steven Weeks, Crystal O'Steen, Kyle Brumley, Ryan Sanford, Cara Hiebert, Rhianna Sanford, Sam Sanford, Charity Pendleton, Caleb Sanford, Jeremiah Sanford, and Malorie Johnson; and her 33 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son Richard Earl Samuel; husband RJ Samuel; brother George Holden and sister, Jackie Judd.
