Billy Bob Taylor was born October 25, 1925 at Burneyville, OK the son of Richard Taylor and Susie Mary Hays Taylor. He passed away Tuesday, November 10, 2015 in Mercy Hospital Ardmore at the age of 90. Born and raised at Burneyville, Bob left school early to join the U.S. Navy where he served as a Medic during WWII. After his return he worked as a lineman for REA. Then for more than 30 years he owned and operated a wholesale business truck route for which he became known as "the candyman." In addition, he had the first successful mink ranch in Oklahoma. An avid coon hunter, Bob was also well known for training coon dogs. He was a devout member of the Burneyville Baptist Church. Bob was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Jack Taylor and J.B. Taylor; and three sisters, Thelma Taylor, Opal Higgins, and Betty Lucas, his twin. He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Bobbie Kathleen and Tim Mennealy of Maui, Hawaii; two grandchildren, Heather and Ryan; three great-granddaughters; very special god children, Chelsea Young and Bella; and many nieces and nephews, a host of friends and church family. Serving as casket bearers are Marion Hicks, Mark Gunnels, Freddie Higgins, Dee Higgins, Randy Martin, and Don Sessions. Honorary bearers are Frank Lornes, Nolen Hicks, Danny Hicks, and men of the Burneyville Baptist Church.
