Obituary

Billy Ervin Nabors, 88, of Madill, Oklahoma passed away on Thursday, January 23, 2025, at his home in Madill.  He was born on August 17, 1936, on a small farm in Shay, Oklahoma to the late Odie Austin Nabors and Fannie Mae Bagwell Nabors.  Billy was raised in the Shay area where he attended country schools up to the 9th grade.  He married Ann Ash on December 24, 1953, in Bryan County, Oklahoma and she preceded him in death on January 20, 2025.  In 1955 they moved to Fort Worth, Texas and lived until 2002 when they moved to Madill where they lived until their passing.  They attended North Side Assembly of God Church for 47 years and the Pentecostal Holiness churches for 35 years.  Billy worked as a welder and Supervisor at Fruehauf Corp. in Fort Worth for 35 years and owned his own fence company for over 25 years. He finished his work career at Bell Helicopter where he built doors until his retirement.  During retirement he worked on the farm with cattle, building fences, and anything farm related.  Billy enjoyed traveling with Ann, fishing and gardening, his greatest love was spending time with the Lord and his family.

Daughter:                    Debbie Ritchey, Fort Worth, Texas

Grandchildren:            BJ Nabors, Josh Nabors, Anson Harris and Dena Harrison

Great Grandchildren:  Cheyenne Harrison, Caleb Harrison, , Madison Harris, Cayson Harris, Gabrielle Nabors,  Aubri Pierce, and Aidan Edwards

Brothers:                     Eugene Nabors, Madill, Oklahoma

Don Nabors and wife Twanna, Lone Grove, Oklahoma

Gerald Nabors and wife Nancy, Fort Worth, Texas

Billy was preceded in death by his parents, brothers; JD and Virgel and 2 sisters; Irene and Opal.
