Billie Maxine Webb, age 86, passed away peacefully at her home in Dayton, Texas Oct 10, 2026.

Born on March 25, 1940, in Fort Worth, Texas, Billie was the daughter of James Andrew Green and Zora Mae Moore. She grew up in Fort Worth, where her life was deeply shaped by the Christian faith of her parents and grandparents.

As a young girl, Billie attended Northside Assembly of God, where she fell in love with Jesus and developed a faith that would remain the foundation of her life. The years of spiritual revival that took place at Northside Assembly during her childhood left a lasting impression on her heart and helped shape her lifelong devotion to the Lord.

It was also at Northside Assembly that Billie met and fell in love with Carl “Wayne” Webb. They were married on June 15, 1956, in Fort Worth, beginning a love story that would span more than 61 years until Wayne's passing on December 12, 2017.

Billie's life was marked by her wholehearted love for Jesus, Wayne, and her family. Her faith was the foundation upon which she built her home and raised her children. Just as her life was shaped by the faith of her parents and grandparents, Billie took special care to introduce each of her children to Jesus. She regularly read the Scriptures to them when they were young and continued to encourage and guide them in their faith as they grew older. Sharing her love for Jesus with her children was one of the most important commitments of her life.

Affectionately known as “Granny,” to her grandchildren, she carried that same devotion into the generations that followed. She passionately loved her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. One of the greatest expressions of her love was her commitment to pray faithfully for each of them every single day. Her family knew they were not only deeply loved but continually lifted up in prayer.

Billie had a remarkable gift for making everyone feel loved in her presence. Her home was a place of warmth and welcome, where family gathered around the table to enjoy the meals she lovingly prepared. Holidays were especially precious to her, providing opportunities to bring together the people she treasured most. Nothing brought her greater happiness than having her family gathered under one roof.

Throughout the years, Billie worked in various positions, including supervising a school cafeteria and serving as a postal clerk. But the things that brought her the greatest joy were the simplest. She loved the peace of her country home, tending her flower gardens, caring for her chickens, and enjoying the beauty of the life she and Wayne had built together.

Her faith remained the foundation of her life, and in the final years of her life she attended Huffman First Pentecostal Church of God. The spiritual heritage passed down through generations of her family became a living legacy that she faithfully shared with her own children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Through her prayers, her love, and her example, she demonstrated what it meant to live a life devoted to Jesus and family.

Billie is survived by her daughter, Cheri Persinger and her husband, Victor, of Dayton, Texas; her son, Bryan Webb and his wife, Renee, of Neosho, Missouri; and her daughter-in-law Virginia Webb Smith the widow of her son Steven Webb. She also leaves behind 12 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Wayne Webb; her sons, Steven Webb and Jimmy Webb; her grandson Daniel Webb, and her sisters, Barbara Martin and Joy Cockroft.

Billie leaves behind a beautiful legacy of faith, prayer, and unconditional love. The faith first nurtured in her own heart as a young girl became a gift she faithfully passed on to her children and grandchildren. Her family will forever cherish the memories of gathering around her table, the warmth of her embrace, and the assurance that they were remembered in her prayers. While she will be deeply missed, the love she poured into her family and the faith she lived will continue to influence generations to come.
