Billie Maxcine McEntire was born September 1, 1931, in Love County, OK to Worley "Bunch" and Ruthey Jane (Acrea) Burkhart. She passed from this life to her eternal home in Glory to be with her Jesus on Sunday, January 18, 2026 at her residence in Grand Prairie, TX at the age of 94.

Ma Billie, as she was affectionately known, was a woman of many talents. She was a homemaker, caretaker of children, and worked outside the home as security for Central Freight Lines. She was a member of the Duncanville Missionary Baptist Church in Duncanville, TX. Ma Billie was an avid piano player. She played the piano by ear and loved playing for her family and church for many years until she no longer was able to do so, but that never stopped her from trying later in life.

Ma Billie was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Amos McEntire; one infant daughter, Tammy Janice; her parents, Ruth and Bunch Burkhart; brother, Bob Burkhart; and son-in-law, Jack Wenk.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Dwain McEntire of Marietta, OK; daughters, Cindy Wenk of Grand Prairie, TX, Beverly Westhoff and husband Russell of Streetman, TX, and Debbie Davis and husband Mike of Grand Prairie; brother, John Burkhart and wife Carol of Amarillo, TX; seven grandchildren, Craig McEntire and wife Jessica, Marcie Prose and husband Lucas, Mikee Miller and husband Breck, Mark Bensley, Kristen Garrett and husband Terry, Cody McEntire, Justin McEntire; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside services for Billie will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 21, 2026 in the Lakeview Cemetery in Marietta, OK under the direction of Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home in Marietta.

Honorary bearers are Craig McEntire, Connor McEntire, Mark Bensley, Jackson Miller, Cade Miller, Hudson Miller, Cody McEntire, Justin McEntire, Austin Garrett and Colby Garrett.
