Betty was born October 4, 1938, in Thackerville, OK the daughter of Robert and Nora (Jacobs) Roper. Betty was known by many as an amazing cook. She worked for many years at the Dairy Hub in Marietta, Red Rooster, Denims, Chicken Run, and several others.

Betty was preceded in death by her husbands, Charlie Alfred Howard and Carl Dean Hill; sons, Charlie Howard, Jr., Samuel Howard, and Ronald Howard; grandchildren, Michael Howard, Rusty Howard, Amber Howard, and Candice Howard; daughters-in-law, Rhonda Howard, Robin Howard, and Kathy Howard; and son-in-law, Greg Herndon. Those left to cherish her memory are daughters, Linda Howard of Marietta and Norma Herndon of Woodbine, TX; sons, Daniel Howard of Marietta, Michael Howard of Marietta, Donald Howard of Chickasha, Jackie Howard of Marietta, and Steve Mathews and wife Jennifer of Marietta; 22 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and several that she welcomed into her home who still call her mom to this day.

Casket bearers are Greg Schneider, Nathan Schneider, Daniel Mapp, Triston Garcia, Justin Howard, and Christopher Howard. Honorary bearers are Jacob Schneider, J.J. Howard, Jim Reeves, Cody Denson, and Jacob Woods.
