Barbara JoAnne Willis, 77-year-old Marietta, OK resident, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, October 1, 2023, at her home.

JoAnne began this life on January 13, 1946, the daughter of Chester and Nelle (Hodges) Morris. She attended schools in Amarillo, TX and later went to Beauty School in Plainview, TX. JoAnne was a beautician for 20 years until she decided hairstyling was no longer for her. She then worked for 15 years in a hardware store. JoAnne married Jerry Willis on May 8, 1972, while in Mexico. The two spent more than 51 married years together.

In her spare time, JoAnne loved doing arts and crafts and spent countless hours working outside in the yard.

JoAnne was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Harmon Bagley and Gene Bagley; and two sisters, Peggy Ezell and Betty Garrison.

Those left to cherish JoAnne's memory are her husband, Jerry Willis of the home; son, Joe Willis of Ardmore, OK; daughters, Dana Vinyard of Marietta, Elizabeth Mayfield of Marietta, and Debbie Coley of Wilson, OK; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and sister, Bobbie Busby of Amarillo, TX.

A private family service will be held at a later date.
