Obituary

Barbara Savage, 54-year-old Ardmore, OK resident, passed away Monday, April 27, 2026, at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City.

Barbara was born October 4, 1971, in McKinney, TX, the daughter of Alvin Lee Carmon and Billie Von Parton-Carmon. She spent most of her life in Love County, OK, where she built deep roots and lasting relationships over the past 40 years.

Barbara dedicated much of her life to caring for others, working as a caregiver with compassion and kindness. In recent years, she brought her vibrant personality to her work as a blackjack dealer at WinStar Casino. She was known for her warm spirit, quick smile, and ability to make those around her feel welcome.

She found joy in life’s simple pleasures, such as camping under the open sky, fishing with family, and dancing and singing whenever the moment called for it. Above all else, Barbara treasured time spent with her children and grandchildren, who were the center of her world and the source of her greatest pride.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Dallas Carmon; her brother, Scotty Carmon; her sister, Lavonda Carmon; and her grandparents, Voncille Underwood and Earl and Helen Carmon.

Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, Alan Carmon of Thackerville, OK, and Robert Carmon of Dallas, TX; her beloved grandchildren, Tavynn Carmon, Amarie Carmon, Summer Carmon, Lexie Carmon, Austin Carmon, and Ally Carmon; her brothers, Vince Carmon of Bonham, TX, and Alvin Carmon of Marietta, OK; her sister, Billie Jill Carmon of Marietta; an aunt, Donna Patton; and an uncle, Ray Martinez; along with many extended family members and friends who will deeply miss her.

Barbara will be remembered for her loving heart, her lively spirit, and the joy she brought into the lives of those who knew her.
