Surrounded by family Anna Marie (Dean) Thomas passed away on July 7, 2025 after a lengthy illness. Ann was born to Fred and Emma (Liddell) Dean on November 15, 1938 at the Indian Hospital in Lawton, OK. She was of Chickasaw heritage. Ann married Charles Durand Thomas on July 6, 1957. They were married for 67 years. Ann and Charles were the parents of two daughters, Marie, was a gifted dancer and sewing costumes was a family affair. The other daughters, Mauri, was an equally gifted athlete. Charles took classes to become a certified umpire for girls softball. Wherever, whatever the girls were doing, Ann and Charles were there.

Ann was Christened and raised in the Methodist Church. She was a devout Christian and a hard worker for needed causes. She started a coat program at the Methodist Church in Marietta passing out more than 500 coats annually to children.

Ann was predeceased by her parents, her husband Charles, her sister Dorothy and her brother-in-law.

She is survived by her daughter, Dorothy Marie Tinnin, daughter, Anna Maurine Thomas and husband David; grandsons, JT Tinnin and Taylor McCartney; sister, Linda Briggs; brothers, C. Fred Dean and Vernon Dean.
