Obituary

Almon Lewis Blankenship 80 , of Kingston, Oklahoma passed away Monday, January 14, 2019.  He was born on October 21, 1938 in Woodville, Oklahoma to the late Ruel Earnest Blankenship and Elnora Beatrice Cobb Blankenship.  Almon was raised in Woodville where he attended school and graduated from Kingston High School in 1959.  He worked as a carpenter and did masonry work.  Almon worked in France and did granite work in Oklahoma City.  He also did granite work at the entrance of the Ritz Carlton Hotel.  Almon married Bertha Phyllis Oldham on February 1, 1959 in Marshall County and she preceded him in death on December 7, 2014.  He lived in Enid for a short while and Big Lake, Texas where he volunteered at the elementary school with crafts and whittling with the kids. In 2000 Almon moved back to Kingston.  He was affiliated with the Pentecostal Holiness faith and he enjoyed fishing, gardening, and raising chickens.  Almon greatest love was his grandkids.
