Allen Russell
Spivey
June 16, 1954 – September 18, 2024
Allen Russell Spivey was born on June 16th, 1954, and went to be with the Lord on September 18th, 2024. Allen lived in Sherman, TX. He grew up in Oklahoma, where he played basketball and softball at Kingston High School and graduated in 1973. Allen served in the Oklahoma Army National Guard for 12 and a half years. He served a tour in Desert Storm and a tour in Iraq before retiring in 2007. Allen was preceded in death by his oldest son, Daryl Ross Spivey. He was survived by his wife of 45 years, Marie Spivey, son Dustin Spivey and wife Casey, Michael Spivey and wife Danielle, and daughters-in-love Shannon Watts, Julia and husband Andy Trice. Survived by grandchildren Mason, Ian, Sadie, Landry, Tyler, Jaxon, Rylan, Caden, Kyl, Levi, Everley, Landon, soon-to-be grandson Hunter, and soon-to-be great grandson Matthew. Also survived by sister Wilma Hand and husband Pete and brother Charles Spivey and wife Christina, and many nieces and nephews. Allen enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys, Oklahoma Sooners, Texas Rangers, and his children's and grandchildren's activities. His favorite hobbies included fishing, watching wrestling, and most of all, going to church.
The visitation will be Friday, September 20, 2024, at Watts Funeral Home, Kingston, Oklahoma from 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a family hour from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
The funeral service will be Saturday, September 21, 2024, at 10:00 am at Watts Funeral Home, Kingston, Oklahoma. Brother Michael Daniels and Sadie Spivey will officiate the service. Music arranged by Regina Armstrong. Interment will be at the Kingston Cemetery, Kingston, Oklahoma. Services will be under the direction of Watts Funeral Home, Madill, Oklahoma.
