Albert Dewayne Wellman 74, of Madill, Oklahoma passed away on Sunday, December 25, 2022, at the Southbrook Nursing Center in Ardmore, Oklahoma. He was born on October 12, 1948, in Duncan, Oklahoma to the late Earl Maddison Wellman and Wanda Jean Brady Wellman. Dewayne attended Ravia Elementary School and graduated from Tishomingo High School in 1966 at the top of his class with highest honors in Math and Chemistry. He also attended Murray State College and Southwestern Pharmacy School in Weatherford, Oklahoma where he received his Doctorate in Pharmacy. Dewayne married Karen Theresa Gossvener on September 5, 1970, in Healdton, Oklahoma. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge from 1976 to 2022 where he held many offices including Worshipful Master. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Madill, serving as deacon, and working on the Finance and Vision Committees and Scholarships. He loved working with Peyton Minter on the Baptism Team. Through the years Dewayne also served on the Madill School Board, and was Honorary Member of the FFA and 4-H. He loved to mentor anyone interested in pharmacy, flying, or real estate. Dewayne also enjoyed fishing, loved working and was a very generous person.

Johnny Cox, Ardmore, Oklahoma
Brother in-law: Dana Gossvener and wife Cheryl, Healdton, Oklahoma
Sister in-law: Barbara Dobbs, Healdton, Oklahoma
Grandchildren: Julianne Fields, Evan Fields, Austin Jackson, Jessica Smithee, Jordan Smithee,
Jaydan Smithee, Leighton Jacobson, Isaac Jacobson, and Ruby Kate Jacobson
He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter; Jennifer Jacobson, sister; Linda Cox, Father and Mother in-law; J. D. and Wilma Gossvener.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Scholarship Fund at the First Baptist Church.
