Akiko Walker, 75, of Kingston, Oklahoma, passed away on Thursday, December 4, 2025, at her home. She was born on November 22, 1950, in Yokosuka, Japan.  Akiko met Frederick Alan Walker in Japan while he was stationed there with the Marine Corp. They moved to California in 1973 and were married on February 8, 1973.  Their life together took them to Roswell, New Mexico, and eventually to Kingston in 1984, where Akiko and Fred made their home for more than four decades and spent 52 years as husband and wife. Akiko found her greatest joy in caring for the people she loved. She enjoyed cooking and working in her garden, talents she shared generously with friends and family.

Akiko is survived by her husband, Fred Walker of Kingston; her son & daughter-in-law, John & Ericka Walker of Calera, Oklahoma; her sister and brother-in-law Mutuko and Isamu Sugeta of Japan; her brother and sister-in-law Hiromasa and Ruriko Koike of Japan and her four beloved grandchildren, Kylie, Carlee, Maddox, and Ryland. She was preceded in death by her parents Masake and Komako Koike of Yokosuka, Japan.
