Clay Anthony Sampson, 61, of Marietta, OK passed away on Thursday, July 7, 2022 at his home surrounded by family. He was born June 2, 1961 in Fort Worth, TX, one of three sons born to Hubert Udell and Dorothy (Grice) Sampson.

Clay spent his childhood in Downers Grove, IL and graduated from Downers Grove North High School. He moved to Love County in 2004. He was a machine operator for Proctor & Gamble Textile Mill. Clay worked for them for approximately 20 years. He was a dedicated and hardworking man. Clay was a collector of antique toys, and a huge Nascar, Indy, and Dallas Cowboys fan. He always looked forward to spending time with his family, especially his nieces and nephews.

Clay was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Sampson.

Left behind to cherish his memory are his father, Hubert Sampson of Marietta; brothers, Gregg Sampson of Marietta and Mike Sampson and wife Sharon of Marietta; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial Service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 23, 2022 at the Cross and Crown Chapel in Marietta. Cremation under the direction of Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home of Marietta.
