Life Legacy

Donald (Don) Elmer Cook, 79 of Ardmore, Oklahoma passed away Thursday, June 28, 2012 at the Valley View Hospital in Ada, Oklahoma. He was born on February 27, 1933 in Fort Worth, Texas to the late Elmer Judson Cook and Alta Marie Perryman Cook. Don was raised in Hobbs, New Mexico where he graduated High School in 1951. He later attended Tarleton State University in Stephenville, Texas where he received an associate’s degree in agriculture. In 1953 he moved to Madill, Oklahoma where he was a rancher for several years before moving to Fittztown in 1971 where he owned a rock quarry. He moved to Eufaula, Oklahoma in 1990 and owned a tire business before moving to Ardmore in 2002 where he worked part time for the Noble Foundation. Don was a member of the Maxwell Avenue Church of Christ and enjoyed working with thoroughbred horses, building and fixing things.

He is survived by:
