Audra Mae Bailey

Biography

Audra Mae Bailey was born February 2, 1922, in Love County, OK, the daughter of Fred L. and Sadie Williams Lofton. She passed away Thursday, February 4, 2010 at The Suites at Elmbrook, Ardmore, at the age of 88.

A resident of Ardmore for a number of years, she had previously made her home in Marietta. She and J.T. Bailey were married March 3, 1965, in Ardmore, and he preceded her in death on February 21, 1999. Mrs. Bailey was a retired Southwestern Bell Telephone Company operator and a member of Marietta’s First Baptist Church. Also preceding her in death were her parents; and a brother, Coleman Lofton.

She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Oleta and Bobby Gene Wells of Velma, OK; and two grandchildren, Brent Wells and wife, Donna of Claremore, OK and Brad Wells and wife, Lisa of Ardmore.
